Approval for Embraer EMB 135/145 Types

On December 17th, 2018 the Swiss FOCA hast granted Horizon Swiss Flight Academy the approval to provide type specific maintenance trainings on Embraer EMB 135/145 aircraft types. Practical trainings can take place directly at the customer’s location or at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airpark, where Embraer Legacy aircraft are available in collaboration with Air Hamburg.

After receiving the approval Horizon staff immediately started the application process for Embraer 190-E2 type trainings. Our sister airline Helvetic Airways will receive the first aircraft of the new Brazilian jet in September 2019. Horizon aims to provide training for Helvetic Airways Maintenance personnel on the new type by summer 2019.
