High Performance Aeroplane (HPA)-Course
Prior to any type rating, an approved theoretical course is required for High Performance Aeroplanes.
During our HPA course, candidates obtain the necessary knowledge in 52 study hours, supported by our ELearning Campus. The course is completed with an examination at Horizon and a course certificate.
Part of the subjects Airframes & Systems, Electrics, Powerplant, Performance, Human Performance and Limitations, Meteorology, Radio Navigation, and Principles of Flight, are instructed during the course, according to AMC1 FCL.720.A(b)(2)(i). For holders of a Competency-based/Enroute IR (CBIR-EIR), intending to fly HPA IFR, the Module HPA IFR Operation Add-on is required

The course consists of 52 hours distance learning content.
