Horizon Swiss Flight Academy - Technical Training - is looking for:

Technical Instructors B2 for Embraer ERJ 170 / 190/E1/E2, Freelance

FUNCTION

In this function you are responsible for conducting theoretical and practical technical courses as well as examinations and assessments in the field of aircraft type training, which are based on the specific legal requirements of the respective aviation authorities. The courses are conducted worldwide and require a high degree of initiative, dedication and willingness to travel. 

QUALIFICATION

This position requires a basic technical education in aviation with a sound continued technical education as well as profound knowledge in the field of airframe systems and powerplant. Ideally, you have already gained experience in instruction and passed appropriate instructional training.
Good knowledge in the area of aircraft maintenance and holding an EASA AML B2 license are required, corresponding type entries are an advantage.
You are proficient in the use of the standard MS Office applications. 
Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile.

Technical Instructor B2, B1/B2 for Embraer ERJ 170 / 190 / E1/E2 (50-100% permanent contract)


ABOUT US:

Horizon Swiss Flight Academy was founded in 1979 and is a sister company to Helvetic Airways based inSwitzerland. We are an EASA Part 147 organisation providing high standard technical training on Embraer types in Europe and beyond.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • responsible for conducting theoretical and practical technical training courses;
  • examinations and assessments in the field of aircraft type training (subject to requirements of respective
    CAA’s);
  • Worldwide instruction assignments; a high degree of initiative and dedication and willingness to travel;

QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES

  • basic technical education in aviation with sound continued technical education as well as profound knowledge
    in the field of the areas to be instructed;
  • experience in instruction and passed appropriate pedagogical training preferred;
  • Part 66 B2 or B1/B2 EASA license, or equivalent;
  • Type entries of the Embraer ERJ 190 E1 and/or E2 advantageous;
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft maintenance is required;
  • 1 year maintenance experience, preferably 3 years, on one of the types above is already completed, or the
    willingness to gain this experience;
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office applications;
  • Very good written and spoken English skills (Level B1 or higher) required;
  • A balanced, stable and mature personality;
  • Committed to Horizon, the team and students;
  • Self-discipline, reliability, ability to develop, sociability, team player;
  • Valid passport, CH or EU-25/EFTA citizen without restrictions;
