Private Pilot Licence - PPL (A)
The EASA Private Pilot Licence (PPL) allows the holder to act as pilot in command of an aircraft in European Airspace with EASA registered airplane. The licence is recognized across Europe and only has to be validated in non-EASA countries. A private pilot may carry passengers as long as the pilot has the appropriate training, ratings, and endorsements.
The private pilot training covers 45 hours in a single-engine aricraft. The student can expect comprehensive training in a challenging environment according to a certified syllabus. To offer you the best available training, Horizon collaborates with competent partners across Switzerland. You are given the choice to choose between a typical small Swiss airfield with a grass runway or a regional airport with international traffic and a concrete runway.
Duration
A Private Piliot Licence can be obtained within 5 - 10 months, depending on the training intensity, i.e. part-time or full time.
Costs
PPL all-in Training Packages are available from CHF 20'000.00, installment payments are an option. The PPL theory as stand alone module starts from CHF 1090.00.
Further Training Opportunities
The Private Pilot Licence serves as per-requisite for many further licences and ratings. You may opt for a Commercial Pilot Licence or even Airline Transport Pilot Licence. Additionally a Class Rating, Type Rating or/and an Instrument Rating can be obtained.
